Pharmacists are healthcare professionals responsible for the safe and effective use of medications. In this context, pharmacists play a significant role in many areas related to medication. After graduating from the Faculty of Pharmacy, there are many employment opportunities available to pharmacists. Here, individuals can choose a path according to their personal characteristics and preferences.
When it comes to pharmacy, the first thing that comes to mind in society is pharmacy practice, and the most important employment area for pharmacists is independent pharmacies where primary health care is provided. Graduates can open their own pharmacies in their province or district in accordance with the legislation (law) where there is a need, or they can work as assistant pharmacists or second pharmacists in pharmacies that provide services, or as pharmacists in hospital pharmacies. In addition, pharmacists are primarily preferred in many different departments in the pharmaceutical industry, cosmetics, and medical device companies. With the introduction of the Pharmacy Specialty Exam (EUS) and the implementation of clinical pharmacy and phytopharmacy specialty training in our country, a new field of employment has opened up for pharmacists. On the other hand, there are also job opportunities in drug warehouses and various public institutions. Graduates wishing to pursue an academic career can enroll in master's and doctoral programs aligned with their career goals and find opportunities to work as academics.
