Our faculty has been providing education since 2002 as the first Faculty of Pharmacy to begin education within a foundation university. Our faculty, which accepts students with MF-3 scores, has been among the top in Turkey in terms of the minimum placement scores of scholarship students since its establishment.
The undergraduate programme at our faculty lasts five years and is taught in English. In the first year, our students take courses in basic science, pharmacy terminology and subjects that facilitate their adaptation to professional courses. In the second, third and fourth years, they take theoretical and practical courses tailored to the requirements of modern pharmacy. Students who complete their internship training in a community pharmacy, hospital pharmacy, or the pharmaceutical industry graduate in the fifth year of the programme after completing elective courses aligned with their career goals, a final project, and a mandatory internship of at least three months in a community pharmacy or hospital pharmacy. These internships aim to provide students with short-term experience in various fields of work that their profession allows.
Pharmacy Faculty students can participate in double major programmes in the Department of Physiotherapy and Rehabilitation at the Faculty of Health Sciences, the Department of Business Administration at the Faculty of Economics and Administrative Sciences, the Department of Genetics and Bioengineering in the Faculty of Engineering, and the Department of Nutrition and Dietetics in the Faculty of Health Sciences. During their education, many of our students can benefit from the ERASMUS+ programme abroad, as well as participate in exchange programmes with pharmacy faculties in the United States and Canada. Starting from the third year, successful students are also offered the opportunity to participate in research activities through "student assistantships."
