Course Objectives:
The aim of this course is to teach the main concepts, definitions, terminology in botany and to convey infıormation on the main features of the medicinally important plants.
Course Content:
1) Terminology in botany, introduction of common characteristics of the medicinally important plants from simple microbiological to the most developed plants of Asteraceae in phylogenetic classification, their main contents and biological effects.
2) In practical courses essential botanical features of the plants will be practised on the fresh or dried plant materials in order to learn how to identify a plant material in scientific terms
