Samsung Bosphorus Cross Swimming Race, which is the traditional organization of Turkey's National Olympic Committee, was held at the Istanbul Strait.
The 6.5-kilometer race, starting from the Kanlıca Pier on the Anatolian side and ending at the Kuruçeşme Cemil Topuzlu Park on the European side, was held with the participation of 1546 athletes from 48 countries. Our student Nilay Erkal completed the race in 52 minutes and 38 seconds and became the champion.
Our student Nilay Erkal is swimming for scholarship support for girls' university education.
Our student, who took a stroke to support female students in need of scholarships in university education, explained her thoughts as follows:
“As a young Turkish college student, I will strive with the aim of supporting all our girls to study in order to live and live our Turkish Republic more freely and democratically in the way of Mustafa Kemal Atatürk's principles and revolutions. Maybe we will have a daughter that you will contribute to her education with your support, will be a light for all of us in the future. "
Nilay Erkal invites you to the campaign that has been created through the Buldan Foundation, which works to ensure gender equality and empower all women and girls. The foundation grants funds to provide educational scholarships to young girls who want to study at university.
