Our University Vice-Rector and Head of Toxicology Department of our Faculty Prof. Ahmet Aydın drew attention to the dangers that may arise from medicine storage containers in a statement to the Demirören News Agency.

Noting that the storage conditions of drugs are the first condition for an effective treatment, Prof. Ahmet Aydın warned about "storage containers", which are especially preferred by people who use drugs on a regular basis.

Prof. Aydın stated that medicines, of which we are sure of their effectiveness and safety when stored in their original packaging, might lose their properties when kept in storage containers by exposure to air, moisture and light. He also added, "The drug can remain in its packaging effectively until the expiration day. As soon as we take it out of its original packaging, we finish all reliability about its effectiveness and hygiene. This is extremely dangerous."
